Geo Energy - Earth... A Powerhouse If We Can Tap It
The improvement in the technology for detection of this resource has received focus in the recent years. Eg. detection of geothermal activity in northern basin and range province of the western U.S.A. The possibilities are many for such developments. With improvements in deep drilling technology and engineering the possibility of using geothermal energy for electricity generation is becoming increasingly attractive option.

Use of hot-water springs for local residential home
heating and also to a limited extent for electricity generation has been
successfully attempted in some regions of geothermal activity. Since the cost of
such adaptations is very low, it is very attractive for extensive
commercialization. There may be even greater focus for energy efficient homes in
the future due to greater public awareness and concern for use of alternate
energy where ever possible.
